Familiar with robotics for general public via the organization of robotics contests and the contacts with professionals of this sector, Christophe Tiraby wished to become an actor of this market in full expansion.

In order to be able to quickly propose them for general public and to open the way with collaboratives solutions, it seeks to design a robotic fish of small size and low cost.

After 2 years of research, it succeeded in developing at the end of year 2005 a prototype which proved the feasibility of a robotic fish which met these aims. After the research, the designing was launched...

Christophe Tiraby is a graduate engineer of a mechanics engineering school (ENSAM) and of an electronics engineering school (SUPELEC). He started his carreer at Thales Avionics where he was in charge of the design and the industrialisation of new releases of aircraft computers for Airbus. Then he joined PSA Peugeot Citroën where he worked as a contractor for ECAD tools on automotive electrical and electronic design. In parallel, he managed the Robotswim project. Passionate for consumer robotics, he is a member of Eurobot organising committee (Autonomous Robots European Cup) since its creation in 1998. By this way he made a lot of connections with people from this sector in France and Europe.

Xavier Schmitt is a graduate engineer of a mechanics engineering school (ENSAM) and a graduate of a business and management school (IAE). He started his carreer as a technical director and industrial director in small industrial companies (5 to 33 emp.). Then he joined Bertin Technologies (37M€ sales / 330 emp.) where he became Industrial Director of the business unit Systems and Machines. In 2006, he bought back CEMAP (1M€sales / 10 emp.), a company specialised in fire safety where he is currently CEO.

Amar Aber is a graduate engineer of Pierre and Marie Curie University and is specialized in scientific mediation. Involved in the nonprofit organization Planète Sciences, he is one of the founder member of robotics department and French robotics contests, for which he was in charge of organization for few years. Today, he is the public mediation manager at the PASS ("Parc d'AventureS Scientifiques", Scientific adventures park in Belgium), where he is in charge of 30 people and coordinating events and public aimed animation offers.

Guillaume Despagne is a graduate engineer of a mechanics engineering school (ENSAM) and of  "Ecole Polytechnique" the most famous general engineer school in France. After many journey abroad, he started his carrer in financial audit at Arthur Andersen. Then he joined BearingPoint as a manager in Telecom market. He is currently working for SFR (French mobile operator) as a manager in new projects for sales management direction where he notably organised the total redesign of sfr.fr and the deployment of an innovative system for electronic signing in retail stores. In addition he has pilot licences for planes and air-balloon.

Anaïs Thoreau was graduated bac STI Electronics and prepares a DUT diploma in Electrical and Embedded Software Engineering at IUT de Cachan. She started to practice robotics when she was 10. At high school she created a team for Eurobot competition. Then she has participated 3 times to the National French Qualification She was Vice Champion of Parisian teams and 9th at the French Cup. At the same time, she joins Planète Sciences non-profit organisation. She is currently responsible for Trophées de Robotique (a wire-guided robot competition open to children aged from 7 to 18).

Emilie Marais is graduated in LPMO (Professional lLicence in Organization Management) . Since 2006 she works with Xavier Schmitt as an assistant in small and medium companies management.

Guillaume Genty is a student engineer in Networks and Multimedia at the French Computing and Industrial Engineering Institute (IG2I). After being very early self-educated in computer science, since 2006 he works as an IT manager at the non profit organization Planète Sciences for the robotic's sector, where he designed the ERP system (sign-in plateform, scores filling and matchs results syndication, dedicated intranet, remote payment...). In 2009, he also worked on the network of the professional Internet operator "Waycom International". He also works for Altinov and Hexie.

Nicolas Roussel is a student engineer in electrical engineering at the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) in Lyon. In 2008, he obtained a University Technology Diploma (DUT) in Electrical and Industrial Software design at the Technical University Institute of Cachan. He was a competitor at the French Robotic Cup (National qualification for the autonomous robots contest Eurobot) where he was the main embedded software developer for the CRAC (IUT team). After being involved in many electronics design projects, he made a deepening of the limits of a particular type of microcontroller (PSOC) with the objective to train an engineer team to use it.
